Why We Created Arewa Movies TV
The idea behind Arewa Movies TV was born out of necessity and passion. In the early days of 2019, we realized that Hausa-dubbed Indian movies known locally as Fina finan Indian Hausa were being lost, deleted, or made inaccessible due to copyright issues and platform restrictions.
We started by uploading content to YouTube, but our channel was shut down because of copyright claims. Then we tried Facebook, but that page was also removed in 2020. These repeated obstacles made us understand that we needed a platform we could control, free from external limitations.
We didn’t want these valuable Hausa translations to disappear forever. Many people searched online but couldn’t find their favorite dubbed movies again. That’s when we decided to create a permanent home for these films a platform where fans could always come back and find what they love.
Our mission was to preserve and protect these cultural treasures. Starting from a simple Blogger site storing videos in Google Drive, and later experimenting with WordPress and shared hosting, we never gave up despite financial and technical challenges.
Finally, in 2023, we moved to a VPS with S3 storage, making streaming faster, safer, and more reliable. Arewa Movies TV is not just a video site it’s a digital archive, a community platform, and a celebration of Indian Hausa cinema.
